Job Description
We are looking for an extraordinary leader to lead the GPU Audio System Software group. As the leader and manager within the GPU Multimedia Organization of NVIDIA, you will help strategize, plan, lead, direct, and manage the team for research, design and development of audio system software for pioneering NVIDIA products. Additionally, you will contribute to NVIDIA’s cloud strategy through the products that you develop and help the organization grow. At NVIDIA, managers are recognized as specialists in multiple technology domains, and they represent the senior technical leadership throughout the company.
What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for helping shape the future direction of the organization, fostering innovation, establishing strategic roadmaps, and driving priorities to meet objectives. You must have a consistent track record of growing and influencing others, working with all levels of senior leadership, and ensuring the stability and well-being of the members of your team. You will build close technical relationships with our partners during product development phase and coordinate with the product teams to develop the best solutions for partners working on our platforms. Major responsibilities include

Lead a team to design and develop audio system software for multiple NVIDIA platforms

Develop strategic roadmaps through innovation within the team and collaboration outside the team in a true “One Team” spirit to push the technology envelope in your domain

Be at the forefront of latest developments in the industry, and provide recommendations to the senior leadership about product direction
-
Genuinely care for employee well-being while prioritizing projects and deadlines, managing expectations and NVIDIA’s interests

Attain a measurable impact of your team’s work across the company and achieve a wide sphere of influence

Identify challenges early and act to unblock in anticipation of any blocking problems, escalating whenever necessary

Present the organization’s work, impact and roadmap to senior management regularly through concise, crisp, measurable objective metrics and reports

Promote NVIDIA products, particularly products developed within your organization

Work with key customers in assigned areas to address technical challenges
What we need to see:
-
BS, MS or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related technical fields
-
15+ overall years of proven experience as in software engineering
-
7+ years of management, leading engineering teams of 25+ high-performing engineers
-
Expertise in any one (or more) of the following technologies: Audio system software such as device drivers and SDKs, Audio/Speech/Signal processing algorithms, Streaming media for real time communication, Deep learning algorithms for audio

Resourceful problem solver with a talent for simplifying intricate issues into manageable actions

Ability to see the “big picture” of the product and passion to deliver a complete solution, without NIH (“Not Invented Here”) syndrome

Laser focus on efficiency of team, with ability to change the team’s priorities at a short notice

Impeccable command over written and verbal communication in English language, and ability to bridge the any communication gaps while working with worldwide teams

An inclination towards perfecting communication, inclusion, visibility, and transparency

Strong C/C++ and Python programming skills.

Excellent system and computer architecture knowledge, with clarity in concepts of memory architecture, system bottlenecks, synchronization etc.

Solid technical foundation in CPU and GPU architectures, modular software design.
Ways to stand out from the crowd:
-
Experience with one or more of NVIDIA’s platforms, CUDA programming and/or NVIDIA deep learning frameworks such as TensorRT
-
Familiarity with audio interfaces such as I2C, I2S, Soundwire, and standards such as HDMI, DP.

Solid understanding of DSP, speech processing, ASR/TTS
-
Familiarity with latest DNN architectures used for audio/speech processing
-
Hands-on experience in Windows display/audio subsystem and/or Linux audio sub-system
-
Experience of architecting and productizing silicon with track record of timely deliverables
