The Director of Health Plan Data Management and Operations is a newly created role and provides leadership for Gravie’s data and for its Data platform that handles Gravie’s products and Service. The leader will provide input and operational guidance in all aspects of Data Management, Platform Development and Data Ingestion Operations. The Data Operations leader oversees the data ingestion and delivery of all relevant data operations activities. You will:· Play a critical role in ensuring the data integrity, accuracy, and efficiency of Gravie’s data and will be accountable for operational data management functions, including accuracy, integrity, and timeliness.· Responsible for prioritizing Data Ops team activities; ensuring that the team meets all expected SLAs, and actively engages with Platform Development and Product teams regarding technology and processes impacting data ingestion. · Lead and manage a team responsible for maintaining accurate data within our system, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and meeting organizational objectives, while managing identified operational metrics with the management team, improving outcomes, implementing new strategies, and collaborating cross functionally to deliver on goals.· Develop and implement data strategies in partnership with the data management, data science organization and other business units to ensure data integrity throughout end-to-end processes. · Help in the creation of self-service capabilities, automations, tools to reduce manual labor, and more. · Develop and perform ongoing quality assurance on production processes by establishing control measures, resolving discrepancies, and mitigating risks associated with production output.· Collaborate with vendor partners to ensure effectiveness and efficiencies of processes, resolve issues proactively and maintain strong partnerships as a team.· Manage and respond to industry standards, staying up to date with regulations impacting this domain, implementing best practices while ensuring adherence and driving improvement in outcomes.· Lead strategy and development of automation and monitoring technologies for all data. Oversees data ingestion and downstream activities are performing as scheduled and provide regular updates on status progress.· Evaluate technology solutions for data ingestion efficiency, processing performance and monitoring and automation.· Support all Data Operations team members with activities surrounding incoming data and processes moving data into end state; provide training and guidance for activities.· Collaborate with Engineering, Health Plan Operations, and other business units to ensure alignment with all platform and data ingestion development and operational activities.· Create and update process documentation to aid in business growth and resolution of issues.· Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.· Demonstrate commitment to our core competencies of being authentic, curious, creative, empathetic and outcome oriented. You bring:· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required.· Work experience in the health insurance industry or related industry experience· Management experience in technology support with a deep understanding of healthcare data including claims, eligibility, enrollment, and related data domains.· Strong experience with health data processing and management, file management and reconciling data in multiple systems· Coordination of all data ingestion and transformation activities using technology and resources in efficient, scalable, and predictable processes. · Experience with automating processes and file transmission tools· Proven leadership skills including the ability to coach and train others in solving complex tasks and lead large teams with project activity and daily management of deliverables.· Knowledge of Health Insurance Industry, ideally working with HIPAA Protected Health Information (PHI) and EDI-transmitted data. Extra credit:· Previous start up company experience· Experience with SaaS like Javelina, Salesforce Health Cloud, etc. Competitive pay is standard.
