JOB DUTIES:
Director, Operations Analytics & Business Intelligence for GXO Logistics Corporate Services, Inc. Collaborate with senior leadership to identify projects, functions, or departments that are candidates for performance improvement initiatives. Guide research, analysis, and modeling on organizational data by partnering with departments ranging from Operations Site Teams, IT & Finance. Interact with Operations Management Teams to understand their solution requirements. Interact with Operations Management Teams to understand their solution requirements, build operational models, study, and analyze information on alternative courses to determine which option will aid in performance improvement eg. ABC SKU Analysis, Cycle Time Studies, Process Mapping & Bottle Neck identification, Labor Scheduling, Slotting etc. Manage and Support On Site Analytics teams with Business Intelligence & Analytics projects for GXO’s biggest clients; (including mentoring managers & team members, requirement analysis sessions, project scheduling & management, budgeting, hiring, cross department coordination to resolve road blocks, solve team doubts etc.). Mentor team members and partners on data management, business processes and interpretation through the company’s Warehouse Management and Labor Management databases to solve business problems. Identify, lead and deliver efforts to build reports, visualizations and dashboards using BI tools and practices through the use of industry standard tools, libraries, and approaches. Create compelling presentations and communicate insights and recommendations to solve business problems to decision makers, stake holders and clients. Oversees development and application of algorithms or models to key business metrics with the goal of improving operations or answering business questions. Identify and obtain access to sources of corporate data; oversees data aggregation, visualization, analysis, interpretation, and communication (including KPIs against contractual standards, operational productivity and efficiency, warehouse labor management, costs etc.).
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Operations Research or a closely related field.
Experience must include five (5) years of post-bachelor’s progressive experience in the following:
- Supply Chain Management or Warehousing projects
- Microsoft Office Suite and powerpivot integration with BI and excel
- Database Management Systems: OracleSQL or MySQL or MS Access or PostgreSQL
- Programming Languages: Python or Excel VBA
- Statistical Analysis and Modeling on Business Data. Supply Chain Optimization or Simulation & Scenario Analysis. Monte Carlo Simulation or K means and Hierarchical Clustering
Business Intelligence (Reporting and Dashboarding) and PowerBI, Excel and MS Excel or Power Pivot generated Dashboards
