Role description:

Reporting directly to the BA Controller in Advanced Process Manufacturing (APM) a global division within the Places Global Business Area. The successful candidate will support in providing value-adding insight and analysis to the Global Division. The candidate will work in collaborations with our high-performing local and regional finance teams, evaluating core business performance as well as internal and external investment cases and supporting data quality and consistency checks across internal reporting platforms. This role will have a focus on Business Intelligence and reporting, however also dovetail with the other APM Finance role activities to provide a resilient GBA Places FP&A Function. The dynamics in Arcadis are big. The company has ambitious growth plans, both organically and via acquisitions. This dynamic environment challenges the financial department to combine day-to-day business with continuous process improvement, integration of new entities, and due diligence of potential acquisitions. The Analyst will be part of a dedicated team of finance professionals supporting senior management in successfully moving A&U into the next growth phase.

Role accountabilities:

  • Support APM finance with monthly/ quarterly divisional and BU-based management reporting. 
  • Support the divisional consolidation and reporting throughout forecasting/budget cycles. 
  • Help to provide sufficient reporting tools to support the APM finance teams and wider business in providing value-adding insight, analysis of results, improvement of working capital, and planning & forecasting analysis. 
  • Support business with analysis of Orderbook & Pipeline including commercial analysis and insights development. 
  • Support with validation and consistency of financial information across reporting platforms (OneStream, Oracle, and Power BI). 
  • Support finance function, both local and within GBA function to deliver best practice. 
  • Support in identifying areas to increase efficiency and automation of processes. • Support Growth function in areas, such as Oracle Sales Cloud, Gigafactory management/accounting, 5-year roadmap modeling, bid/pursuit support, and integration synergy analysis. • Support both FP&A & Growth teams with ad hoc analysis as required.

Qualifications & Experience:

The candidate ideally is a part-qualified accountant or equivalent by experience, relevant experience working in medium/large global organizations is preferred. 

Other required experience and competencies for this role: 

  • Very strong data skills and reporting (BI/excel) capabilities 
  • Attention to detail and consistently high standards. 
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills. 
  • Enthusiastic, proactive, innovative, and result-driven attitude. 
  • IT literate with ERP experience o 
    • Strong MS Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions
    • MS Power BI experience preferred 
    • Oracle Cloud preferred
  • Familiar with Finance terminology and able to understand P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements 
  • Native language: unspecified, but fluency in English is a must.
