Job Description
As an Engineer I, BI you will possess superior analytical skills, energetic, drive and attention to details. You will be responsible for analyzing and organizing big data as well as management reporting duties. You will be a leader with extensive communication skills and the ability to approach a situation from a critical standpoint to make a decision and develop the best solution.
As a key member of our team, your responsibilities include:
- Working as a single point-of-contact and take a self-driven and process-oriented approach to various requirements
- Working with various Business Units (including Product, Marketing, Engineering etc.) to understand their analytics and reporting requirements
- Handling various project management for every Business Unit’s analysis and working with our Big Data Team to implement those requirements.
- Creating and implementing various reports from Big Data Platforms and handling Business / Data Analysis as required
- Create insights that drive key-business decision for various stakeholders
- Ensuring a high-level of data integrity and data assurance when working on various data-sets.
- Measure project performance and quality using appropriate tools and techniques
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the stakeholders
- Provide subject matter expertise in multiple business process areas.
- Act as the liaison between the business, technology teams and support teams, and ensure implementation of target architecture.
Requirements
- BS in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics or similar field from a reputable university
- 1 years’ proven experience in assessment & analysis, planning & implementation, documentation, testing, communication on analytical projects. Fresh Graduates with strong aptitude in Data Analytics are eligible
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience or knowledge in basic statistical and analytical techniques
- Experience in developing integrated solutions involving process, data, and technology
- Strong analytical skills to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
- Able to articulate technical and business information effectively to both technical and non-technical people.
- Knowledge in working with Data Visualization tools (Metabase, Sisense, Tableau etc.)
- Strong experience in advanced SQL concepts
- Basic knowledge in Python
Good to Have (Not Essential)
- Knowledge in Shell scripting
- Big Data Query engines (Hive, Spark, Athena etc.)
- Orchestration tools (Airflow etc.)
- Knowledge of and experience with Change Management.
- Familiarity with Project Delivery Processes, Requirements Analysis, and Solution Design process framework.
