About the role:

We are seeking a skilled Engineering Lead with a strong background in technology, particularly in implementing SaaS solutions and experience in driving the simplification and modernization of application landscapes. As a leader, you will have the opportunity to define innovative solutions supplementing our SuccessFactors core solution, while also aligning with Swiss Re Tech strategy and the wider IT organization. Your influence will ensure a consistent integration of all HR solutions in addition to SuccessFactors across all areas in Corporate Functions IT, making you an instrumental catalyst for success.

But that’s not all! As a line manager and mentor, you will guide and nurture your talented team of engineers, empowering them to grow and excel in their roles. Co-leading squads alongside the Product Owner and Scrum Master, you will foster an agile spirit, driving collaboration and innovation. In this hands-on role, you’ll be immersed in new technologies, with a special emphasis on Azure. You’ll have the opportunity to continuously upgrade your skills and push the technological envelope. We are looking for someone passionate about technology and eager to drive change in the HR Tech space.

Your creative problem-solving abilities and strong leadership skills make you the ideal candidate to take charge of our integration solutions.

Your qualifications and experience will be highly appreciated. If you possess a university degree in computer science, engineering, or an equivalent qualification, and have more than 12 years of experience in designing and implementing technical solutions in SaaS, you fit well the required profile. Your proven expertise in driving digital transformation by integrating 3rd party SaaS or COTS solutions using Azure, including advising the business team on the selection of a solution/application by considering build vs buy approach, and coordinating development will make you a vital asset to our team.

Having several years of experience as line manager of an internal team, your people management skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to engage and inspire colleagues will help you lead the engineers reporting to you.

We greatly value your real-world experience with Scrum or similar agile methodologies, and your familiarity with Human Resource solutions and technologies, and the Azure data integration platform. Experience in working with DevSecOps/DevOps environment and an Azure Certificate are definite pluses.
