The team
You will be part of a data-driven team and also work closely with other colleagues within the organization. Your primary focus is to innovatively and creatively transform large amounts of data into meaningful insights that enable you to actively adjust ING’s risk profile. In practice, you will be working closely with the Data Privacy Office to ensure that our customers’ personal data is handled with care and that we can demonstrate this to our customers, regulators and the outside world.

Roles and responsibilities
Together with your colleagues you will work on:

  • Continuing to build a monitoring program that covers all relevant assets within ING:

    • Building, expanding and improving the monitoring rules.

    • Defining requirements for IT assets for delivery to the ING datalake.

    • Onboarding new assets for the monitoring activities in phases.

    • Developing dashboards and an effective feedback loop.

  • Independently identify and analyze opportunities and risks that provide input to the further development of the monitoring program.

  • Effective stakeholder management towards validators, IT asset owners, second line risk parties and Sr management including clear reporting.

  • Supporting data validators in the various tribes so that they can effectively assess the results of the monitoring.

  • Developing and rolling out an effective training and awareness approach around the monitoring activities.

  • HBO / WO education

  • Experience in applying data for specific monitoring needs and creating data requirements for this purpose

  • Experience with SQL and Cognos

  • Affinity or familiarity with the IT landscape within ING is a plus

  • Analytical thinking: making connections, recognizing risks, assessing impact and thinking ahead

  • Organizational sensitivity

  • Several years of work experience in the financial services industry

  • Excellent Dutch and English language skills, both verbal and written

  • Drive to get things done and making an impact
