The Generative AI Asset owner plays an integral role in the successful design, deployment, and adoption of end-to-end Generative AI solutions to better serve The Hartford’s Personal Lines organization. The Asset Owner will drive adoption of the Generative AI portfolio through the execution of the marketing and communication approach that includes drafting presentations for leadership, performing business impact analysis, and crafting the story associated with the analytical results throughout the Generative AI assets’ lifecycle.
The Generative AI Asset owner is responsible for the quality, privacy, security, and compliance of The Hartford’s Personal Lines Generative AI solutions. They ensure that the data is accurate, reliable, and used appropriately. Granting access permissions, overseeing data usage, and liaising with other teams to ensure that the asset is serving The Hartford’s Personal Lines needs effectively.
As a Senior Asset Owner, you will be expected to build relationships and partner with stakeholders to ensure that the Generative AI solutions are addressing business problems as intended and achieving the expected value. You will identify gaps and opportunities in existing processes and devise new or improved Generative AI solutions to identify risks, enhance processes, and increase operational efficiency. Additionally, the Senior Asset Owner provides tactical support to the Data Science and Engineering teams by driving project execution, roadmaps, and regular updates to business partners. The ability to take detailed data science and engineering output and highlight key findings, results, and recommendations to our business partners is fundamental to project success.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Add locations) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the quality and integrity of the data used in the Generative AI solutions. This includes ensuring the data is accurate, up-to-date, text is correctly extracted, embeddings are completed, prompts are updated etc.
  • Provide input on any technical solutions developed from the asset, ensuring that the solution generates appropriate responses. They would also be responsible for maintaining the architectural workflow, which includes the selection of technologies such as embedding tools and LLMs.
  • Ensure that the Generative AI solutions complies with all relevant regulations and guidelines, particularly those related to any data privacy and security. Responsible for implementing appropriate security measures to protect the data and the solutions.
  • Monitor the performance of the Generative AI solution, tracking metrics such as accuracy and efficiency of the generated responses. Gather feedback from users and make necessary adjustments to improve the solution’s performance.
  • Work closely with other teams, such as the legal team, to ensure the generated responses are legally sound and comply with the Department of Insurance’s requirements.
  • Manage who has access to the Generative AI solutions and the data they use. This includes granting permissions and ensuring appropriate usage.
  • Build strong partnerships with business customers and act as key point of contact for several Data Science assets with internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities to evolve or reuse existing assets or develop new assets that could add operational and business value.
  • Assist with the communication plan and marketing strategy of key capstone initiatives.
  • Build customer artifacts to support adoption, marketing and socialization including documentation, project plans, road maps and insight briefs.
  • Instill disciplined project timelines and support teams capacities to deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Execute well-designed communication plans tailored to audiences ranging from technical peers to business stakeholders of various levels.
  • Assist in development of vision and strategic planning, success criteria, CBA and value propositions for Data Science assets.
  • Communicate with and influence audiences of various levels and diverse backgrounds.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in supporting analytic or machine learning product ownership or technical development in insurance or related field recommend.
  • A strong understanding of Generative AI (GenAI) technologies and their applications in asset management.
  • Knowledge of GenAI’s major applications in asset management, such as improved operating efficiency, personalization at scale, knowledge
  • compounding, research acceleration, and democratization of coding.
  • Knowledge of security, compliance, and the potential risks associated with deploying GenAI solutions.
  • Proficiency in turning a new business problem into an executable technical or analytical solution.
  • Proficiency in impactful storytelling, communication, and relationship-building across a broad range of technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency in leveraging Microsoft tools to develop compelling visuals articulating complex analytical topics.
  • Proficiency in translating complex technical topics into business solutions and strategies as well as turn business requirements into a technical solution.
  • Experience with leading project execution and driving change to core business processes through the innovative use of quantitative techniques.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, the analytical project lifecycle, data science concepts, data transformation and data warehouse concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python is a plus.
  • Domain knowledge in Insurance and KPIs is a plus.
  • Agile and Product Owner experience is a plus.
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$107,360 – $161,040
