About the position
As a Global AI Manager, you will lead and inspire our AI team, driving the identification, creation, delivery and maintenance of best-in-class, fully automated AI solutions. Your expertise in AI, project management and commercial objectives will be instrumental in converting complex designs and ideas into transformative AI that informs decisions across the organization.
In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Head of Global Data to Insights, data engineering, and all global business functions. You’ll own and prioritize the backlog of tasks and projects, enabling the team to deliver efficiently and effectively utilizing our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric stack.
This is a dynamic role with significant exposure to the wider organisation and ability to directly influence company performance. With cutting-edge technology at your fingertips, you’ll have the unique opportunity to shape the future of food.
Main Responsibilities
Team Management, Strategy & Collaboration
- Providing guidance and mentorship to the central AI team.
- Day-to-day management of the AI team, including technical and commercial support.
- Ensuring AI is deployed securely for maximum impact and maintainability.
- Acting as a link between the wider global business functions and the AI team.
- Advising both technical and non-technical experts on internal AI solutions and external AI advancements.
- Support the Head of Global Data to Insights to deliver strategic AI solutions.
Project Management
- Prioritizing and managing the backlog of tasks and projects (end-to-end).
- Ensuring the team follows agile-like methodologies for continuous project delivery.
- Monitoring project progress and addressing any bottlenecks or issues.
- Identifying commercial opportunities through AI projects.
AI
- Overseeing the creation of best-in-class, fully automated AI solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI and external tools.
- Expert in python for AI and machine learning, with extensive model knowledge (e.g. XGBoost, CNN, and others) and use cases.
- Experienced in MLOps including model validation, deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
- Identification and collaboration with other data teams to pull external data to aid models.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Ability to manage many projects and tasks in parallel, planning and prioritising effectively.
- Must be a self-motivator and enjoy solving problems.
- Strong communicator (both written and verbal skills) to all levels including C-suite.
- Well organised, with dedication to quality and integrity.
- Ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and technical environment
If you have some of the below under your toolbelt as well even better!
- Degree in computer science or related STEM subject.
- 3+ years of professional analytics experience, ideally managing an offshore team.
- 3+ years delivering or leading AI projects end-to-end.
- Expert python skills with exposure to spark
- SQL skills for extracting data
- CI/CD experience
