Global Data Manager

Position Summary

Through Project Quantum, Teleflex is driving an alignment and elevation of product lifecycle and master data management across its global business.  The legacy of project Quantum should include the establishment of appropriate mechanisms, processes, system onboarding and an organizational competence capable of successfully managing its critical to product data in the future. This role will help us deliver on our project commitments and ensure steady-state business operations.

This role will be key in establishing a robust data governance framework that outlines policies, standards, and procedures for data governance. This framework should define roles and responsibilities, data ownership, and accountability

Principal Responsibilities

• Process implementation support for Master Data Governance & Management
• Enforce Teleflex Master Data Strategy (People, Processes & Technology)
• Review and refine policy, procedures, work instructions etc.
• Co-ordination with business data owners to define data rules and standards (documented, published and maintained)
• Manage & Monitor the health of the data governance process, Define SLAs & KPIs to measure success
• Owner of MDG and ECC/S4 Material Master Matrix
• Enforcement of business rules and standards across multiple functions
• Ensure holistic change impact assessments are completed consistently and timely
• Support Projects with all data migration activities (M&A, Transfers, New Systems)
• Define, measure and monitor data quality and lead data quality improvement initiatives
• Define processes to ensure the Value of Change for business is understood prior to approval
• Ensures E2E data and system alignment, continuous collaboration between business and IT to ensure we have the tools to support, and the business is optimising the use of our tools
• Manage urgency & priority of changes
• Training of business users on process & master data management & governance requirements
• Continuous Improvement driving industry best practices
• E2E Data Catalogue mapping (create, change, data & process usage etc)
• Liaise closely with product owners, regulatory and planning teams to ensure accurate setup and transition management of product versions

Education / Experience Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline;
• 5+ year’s experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Project Management or Six Sigma qualification preferred

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have prior experience in leading data operations in a fast-paced work environment with strong analytical ability.
• Must have led and implemented a global data migration process.
• Experience dealing with complex data relationships and effectively communicating across a diverse team.
• Recent experience with Tableau or similar visual analysis tool, optimization, analytics and large data sets, project management, developing visually compelling interactive dashboards.
• Awareness/ understanding of product lifecycle management (PLM) and the interconnectedness of data flows to/from an ERP system (SAP) in the context of Supply chain, Manufacturing, Quality
• Understanding of Design Control, Change Control, Product Life Cycle Management, Sustaining Changes and manufacturing transfers, including experience of cost savings and product / process improvement.
• Strong people management skills
• Expert judgment and problem-solving ability & can understand the impact of decision making on both Teleflex and their customers.
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Effective collaboration with cross-functional Business Units
• Experience managing cross functional teams
• Ability to Perform and manage critical analysis of data.
