About This Role
As a Data Analyst Graduate with a demonstrated interest in healthcare, you will play a pivotal role in supporting two of our functions within our organisation’s Clinical Trial Accelerator Unit (CTAU) Function. CTAU supports the delivery of Clinical Trials across Biogen’s portfolio. You’ll collaborate cross functionally and contribute to building the tracking and reporting of clinical trial recruitment activities and to analysing feasibility data for clinical trial country selection and timelines. What You’ll Do
Feasibility:
- Support the Feasibility team in redesign of deliverables produced in support of clinical trial governance and planning; moving from static reports delivered in Powerpoint to dynamic data visualisation platforms such as PowerBI.
- Use analytical tools to assess risks to study and program execution.
- Query relevant databases, including clinical trial registry tools and internal sources, and research various literature sources to support preparation of robust clinical trial feasibility assessments.
- Participate in evaluation of new informatics technologies, such as clinical trial registry search tools, enrolment modelling and simulation tools, and protocol feasibility assessment tools.
- Track ongoing and historic internal study performance in relation to internal study plans
PCE:
- Generate uniform methodologies for analysis and presentation of data; measuring status and return of investment metrics of PE strategies and vendors:
- building standardised ongoing and close out reporting formats.
- supporting the implementation of patient and site recruitment strategies and participate in assessing a clinical trial protocol patient recruitment support needs assessment.
- Analysing reporting data for trends and making suitable recommendations to the department and wider stakeholders.
- Supporting internal communications strategy and formatting.
Who You Are
You are a recent graduate with proficientcy in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and with a good understanding of coding languages like R Shiny or Python for data analysis. As a person you have a strong enthusiasm for learning and team collaboration.
Qualifications
- On track to achieve a minimum 2.1 degree in a relevant subject.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and PowerPoint).
- Experience with coding languages such as R shiny or Python to analyse data
- Ability to use tools such as Tableau and PowerBI to present data in visual dashboards
- Desired, optional skills include database experience, Access, Excel, SQL, SAS or other data analytics software and/or exposure to predictive analytics
- Excellent standard of written and verbal communication in business English.
- Ability to relate to stakeholders at all levels and from different cultural backgrounds.
- Relevant work experience by way of work placement, ideally pharmaceuticals and/or clinical trials would be highly desirable.
- Project management skills.
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a dynamic CTAU team.
