Job Description

Octapharma specializes in the development of highly pure pharmaceuticals made of human blood plasma. As part of a family-owned enterprise, Octapharma in Vienna is not only the largest production site, but also a successful research location of the Octapharma Group. Since our company continues to grow, we are now hiring for our team:

 

This position is tied to the 2-year International Early Career Program (starting in October 2024), that can support you to kick-start a career at Octapharma via international intra-group rotations and developmen-tal sessions.

Your new challenges which will inspire you: 

 

  • The initial focus is on developing and understanding our manufacturing processes and establishing an appropriate network within the company group 
  • The aim is to optimize our manufacturing processes through multivariate data analysis
  • Your main task in this context, is the development of modern algorithms and data models to analyze and recognize complex correlations based on data from our manufacturing processes 
  • You will develop, optimize and implement statistical data evaluations and carry out production-relevant data analysis
  • The use of cloud and on-promise database platforms are also part of your job
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop value driven and data-based solutions

 

 

Your profile that will convince us:

 

  • Completed studies, ideally technically or chemically oriented, for example biotechnology or process engineering
  • Less than three years of practical work experience, as this is our international early career program
  • You have initial knowledge of data processing in the areas of date modeling, big data, advanced analytics or machine learning and preferably initial knowledge of biotechnological manufacturing processes
  • Professional personality, flexible team player and aligned with Octapharma’s core competencies and strategy
  • Willing and curious to develop into a people leader or business professional role 
  • Willingness to move internationally for work assignments within the group of Octapharma
  • Fluency in English and ideally good German-skills, additional languages are a plus

Additional information:
 

The gross wage according to the collective agreement (chemical industry) for your new job is EUR 3.909,67 for the beginning of the international early career program.
