Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

Primary Accountabilities:

  • End-to-end ownership of data analytics and data science workstreams
  • Work closely with the Business, Product and Technology teams to develop world class systems and processes.
  • Analyse trade data form various sources, connect the dots between seemingly disjoint datasets, identify patterns in data and derive meaningful conclusions.
  • Build, maintain and improve complex data analysis models that help our senior management track their business and take strategic decisions
  • Leverage business context and objectives, to develop, implement, fetch and measurement data plan
  • Conduct deep dive analyses of business problems and formulate conclusions and recommendations to be presented to senior leadership.
  • Simplify and automate day to day work stream.
  • Proactively identify improvement opportunities and understand how our users interact with our products through systematic and rigorous measurement and analysis.
  • Develop a deep understanding of specific areas of the business and the key metrics to measure the performance of the product.

Other Accountabilities

  • Participate and contribute to data discussions with the goal to enrich data and business understanding.
  • Act as an ambassador for DP World at all times when working; promoting and demonstrating positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s Founder’s Principles, values and culture; ensuring the highest level of safety is applied in all activities; understanding and following DP World’s Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

 

  • 2-5 years of experience in building and implementing data analytics models
  • Strong knowledge of either R or Python (both is a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, SQL
  • Experience in data mining and data analytics
  • Experience in extracting, transforming the data and making a presentable analysis for a given problem
  • Willingness to learn and adopt best practices in statistics, BI, predictive modelling and ML
