Job Description

As we grow and invest more in automating our processes, we are looking for an experienced Fraud leader to build and grow a team of Risk Decisions Scientists. We are a data driven company with billions(!) of data points per year. If you are highly-motivated data enthusiastic with a proven track record in building automated risk strategies, scorecard and rules, if you are technical, creative and a true leader – you belong with us. 

This role will require a high level of adaptability, proactive attitude, and ability to impact and influence the wider organization while working with key stakeholders across the company (mainly in Tel-Aviv, London and Mauritius).

Key responsibilities

  • Be a thought leader both internally and externally in the world of Payment Fraud
  • Build and guide the team with a Payment Fraud Prevention Northern Star, with strategic perspectives and tactic methods
  • Hire and lead a team of managers and individual contributors in the field of fraud decision science, mentor and coach while driving continuous improvement and innovation
  • Guide the team as they research and deploy rules to detect and stop fraudulent payments – maybe even roll up your sleeves and do it yourself as well
  • Data driven: clearly define success metrics and measure progress against them
  • Ability to build bridges across the organization with high EQ and influencing skills
  • Guide and lead research on different tactics used for payment fraud and turn that research into action – could be adding an attack type we catch, updating documentation, improving our algorithms or even getting on stage at a conference to talk about what we’re seeing.
  • Work closely with Product, Data Science, Engineering, Operations and Enterprise Risk to help design and improve our Risk Decision Engine
  • Be a consultant to our merchants on how to improve their fraud defense and share insights internally with our commercial and engineering teams
  • Drive a mentality of continual improvement in the processes and tooling of the team to deliver best in class results

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in data-driven processes and monitoring automation in the Payments Fraud / Risk Industry
  • 5+ years of managing a team of data analysts / data decision scientists
  • High proficiency and ability to create complex optimized queries on SQL databases
  • Good familiarity with BI tools (Looker – a plus)
  • Ability to code in Python for data analysis and machine learning – a plus
  • Understanding of Machine Learning 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills in English

Hybrid Working Model: All of our offices globally are onsite 3 times per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday).
