Location & Remote Work

Our technology team works on the “remote-first” model, which means we are working from home with the possibility of living anywhere in Brazil. We also have the option of using QuintoAndar’s offices in São Paulo and Campinas or using partner coworking spaces, both up to twice a week.

Every Analytics Engineer at QuintoAndar

Analytics Engineers have a deep understanding of business needs, while applying software engineering best practices to implement data pipelines and create data abstractions that help the company to make better decisions faster.

The Analytics Engineering workflow is to clean, transform, and model raw data into consumable information for strategic decision-making. During the process of obtaining the raw data until the availability of the cleaned and transformed one, the Analytics Engineer tests the data in order to guarantee its quality, documents business rules and creates dimensional models to ensure that they are executed in a scalable and reliable way in a production environment.

The Analytics Engineering role has more engineering skills than your average analyst and is more curious to answer analytical business questions than the average of data engineers. Because of that, the Analytics Engineering team works closely with our business and tech teams to build a better understanding of the usage of data and how our tools positively affect teams at QuintoAndar.

Analytics Engineering Manager responsibilities at QuintoAndar:

On top of being a great Analytics Engineer Manager, we expect you to:

  • Be a technical reference for your team;
  • Overseeing the development and implementation of data pipelines and analytics solutions, ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability;
  • Be willing to be hands-on, when needed;
  • Discuss business and engineering requirements with analysts, engineers and stakeholders on a deep level and anticipate risks;
  • Build a great team both recruiting great talent and helping them grow;
  • Evaluating the performance of team members, providing regular feedback, and identifying opportunities for their development;
  • Setting clear goals and objectives for the team and ensuring they are aligned with the overall business objectives;
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at various levels of the organization to understand their requirements or explain technical concepts;
  • Advocating for the value of data analytics and engineering within the organization and fostering a data-driven culture.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • Recognizes that people are the most important asset and has proven experience in people management within the data career field;
  • Expert in dimensional data modeling (star schema or snowflake), with knowledge of technical concepts and best implementation practices;
  • Proficient in SQL and passionate about writing clean, performant, and maintainable code;
  • Understands the data lifecycle and concepts such as architecture, lineage, governance, privacy, etc.;
  • Fluent in cloud infrastructure, such as AWS and GCP;
  • Keeps up with the evolution of technologies and best practices in the data engineering domain and seeks to apply them in the team’s routine.
