Insights & Analytics Senior Manager
Job Description
Introduction to role:
The Insights & Analytics Senior Manager will direct the preparation of data-driven insights for business decision makers to help develop business intelligence, optimize effectiveness, and predict business outcomes. This role will drive the analysis of data to support the process they are enabling through the identification, analysis, and interpretation of trends or patterns and prepare ongoing reports and data visualizations to aid in complex data storytelling.
The role may coordinate the creation, maintenance, and improvement of exploratory and predictive analytics statistical models for ongoing and ad hoc review and analysis of data.
Accountabilities:

Manage project lifecycles from initiation to closing, support processes and tools for financial calculations, and ensure successful delivery within budget and timeline.

Lead projects within defined scopes, including financial projects.

Coordinate the use of BI applications, cloud services, ERP, CRM, and analytical software (R, Python, Matlab) for scientific and business insights.

Convert business issues into analytics problems and solutions.

Build and maintain effective relationships with a range of stakeholders and clients, ensuring the utilization and value of information resources and services. Clearly and objectively communicate results, as well as their associated uncertainties and limitations.

Offer exploratory, descriptive, and predictive analytics expertise to cross-functional projects.

Create visual tools, dashboards, and reporting mechanisms to deliver complex analytical solutions.

Keep abreast of analytics trends and best practices.

Ensure work meets robust quality standards.

Train collaborators on data and analysis usage.

Develop tools that meet regulatory requirements.
Essential Skills/Experience:
-
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
-
Advanced skills in drawing conclusions from data and presenting them succinctly.
-
Experience in complex data analysis in business/scientific applications.
-
Excellent communication and presentation skills, active listening, and adaptability to the audience.
-
Good understanding of at least one business area for data science application.
-
Strong foundation in project management methodologies, with skills in creating realistic plans, managing risks, and delivering within budget and timelines.

Ability to analyze challenges, identify solutions, and make informed decisions to keep projects on track.

Ability to manage and influence stakeholders.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
-
Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Statistics, Economics, Management, or a related field.

Comfortable with high-performance computing or cloud environments.
-
Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, market trends, and business processes.

Proficiency in data analytic and visualization tools like Power BI, R, Python, SpotFire, or Tableau.

Familiarity with database systems (SQL, NoSQL, graph).

Skills in software development.

Knowledge of main financial concepts.
