Job Description

As an AI research engineer, the candidate will work on an automatic disassembly for EoL waste management. The candidate will assist in:

  • Research and evaluate state-of-the-art open and closed-source LLM models and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques
  • Process unstructured technical documents from automotive and EV products to extract relevant text and images using multi-modal LLM
  • Assist in developing and refining LLM and RAG models to improve performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the team to integrate AI models into broader systems or applications, considering scalability and deployment strategies.
  • Document findings, methodologies, and outcomes, contributing to internal reports and potentially patent applications.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to brainstorming sessions aimed at driving project success.

Qualifications

  • Able to work full time for a period of 6 months (April 2024 onwards)
  • Undergraduate/graduate studies in related field of Computing Engineering & Computer Science
    • Major in Computer Science from Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering or Electrical engineering and Computer Science
  • Sound knowledge in NLP, LLM. This includes tokenization, embedding, sequence modeling.
  • Experience with AI Frameworks and Libraries: Practical experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow for model development, and libraries such as Hugging Face’s Transformers and LangChain for utilizing pre-trained models like GPT and RAG
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, as it is the primary language used in AI development.
  • Independent learning & working and self-motivated.
