We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied internship in the area of global residual value risk team at BMW Financial Services. Residual value risk is a ubiquitous type of risk which arises whenever cars leave our plants and start their journey as leased vehicles, for instance. The BMW Group attaches great importance to this highly strategic matter. Would you like to be part of a team of young and dedicated data scientists who handle it? 

 

What awaits you? 

  • You will be an integral part in applying machine learning models to predict future prices of our vehicles on the used-car market. 
  • You will analyse data sets from across different markets to derive measures and recommendations for the future. 
  • You will be part of creating new analysis tools to further increase our level of insight into the car market. 
  • You have the unique opportunity to learn from and contribute to discussions that decide how we evaluate our premium vehicles on a global scale.   

 

What should you bring along? 

  • Current enrolment in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a similar program. 
  • Profound skills in two of the following: Python, R, and SQL with experience in creating supervised learning algorithms. 
  • A good grasp of statistics and its application in modelling. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package. 
  • Intrinsic motivation to continuously expand your knowledge on the global electric car market development. 
  • Proven analytical thinking. 
  • Excellent command of the English language in oral and written form. German skills are a plus.
