Job Summary

Western Midstream is seeking an early career developer to join our new Center of Excellence team in The Woodlands, TX. As a developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying innovative solutions utilizing the Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Cloud, and Opensource technologies. Your expertise in creating custom applications and automating business processes will play a crucial role in optimizing and standardizing our operations and empowering our users.

 

Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience as a Power Platform developer, Data Engineer, or Full Stack Web developer (e.g., Node.js, React, Angular)
  • Knowledgeable in writing efficient, reusable, and scalable Python code
  • Experience in data integrations and connection, including SharePoint, Relational, NoSQL, Dataverse, and Azure data services
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, automated deployment pipelines, functional testing, version control system
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into functional specifications
  • Design and develop custom Canvas and Model-Driven apps using PowerApps, ensuring user-friendly interfaces with standards and seamless integration with data sources
  • Implement generative AI, data analysis algorithms, and statistical models using Python
  • Integrate PowerApps and Power Automate with external systems and services, such as SharePoint, SQL Server, Dataverse, Timeseries historians, and Azure Services
  • Conduct thorough functional testing, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure the reliability and efficiency of developed solutions
  • Provide end-user training and support to drive adoption and maximize the benefits of Power Platform applications
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in the Power Platform ecosystem and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement

 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

 

Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required up to 5%.

 

Work Schedule:
This position will work 9 hours Monday – Thursday and 4 hours on Friday.  The position will require Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in The Woodlands office.
