About the role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in data analysis and a desire to grow their skills in SQL, Power BI, and equivalent technologies. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will work closely with subject matter experts in the team to analyze, and interpret data to support decision-making processes within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Preparation: Gather data from various sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. Clean and preprocess data for analysis.
- Data Analysis: Use SQL to query databases, analyze data, and generate reports. Utilize Power BI for deeper insights and visualization.
- Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work closely with different departments to understand their data needs and provide analytical support.
- Data Visualization: Develop clear and visually appealing data visualizations to communicate findings effectively.
- Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in data analysis and related technologies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
Technical Skills
- SQL: Basic to intermediate proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Power BI: Basic knowledge of creating and managing reports and dashboards.
- Excel: Proficient in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Team Player: Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Curiosity: A keen interest in data and a desire to continuously learn and improve.
Experience
- 0-2 years of experience in data analysis, internships, or relevant coursework.
- Exposure to data analysis projects or tools in academic or professional settings is highly desirable.
