Your mission will be to provide data-driven insights to enable the growth of Octopus Energy for Business and further the supply of green electricity to businesses across the UK. You’ll be working as part of a small team with a wide and varying range of analytical responsibilities, providing regular reporting alongside in-depth analyses for our range of innovative products.

What you’ll do:

  • Work with key stakeholders across commercial, operations and marketing teams to define and monitor key metrics driving the growth of the business
  • Model and analyse the viability of innovative product ideas which enable the decarbonisation of the business electricity supply market
  • Scope and produce reports for our larger business customers
  • Design and build datasets and dashboards to enable self-service of insights within Octopus Energy for Business
  • Collaborate with the product and technology teams to provide data-driven improvements and ideas
  • Automate data process to increase business efficiency

What you’ll need:

  • Keen interest in the energy industry and a passion for the transition to net zero
  • Strong problem-solving skills using logical reasoning and analytical methods
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain findings to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with SQL and/or Python
  • Initiative spirit, self-organised and a high attention to detail
  • Hands on and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
