About the role & the team
As a Junior Investment Analytics Specialist in the Private Investments Analytics team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality data analysis and insights to support the investment decision-making and portfolio management processes across the growing private investments portfolio, with global exposures to Private Debt, Private Equity and Real Estate.
Joining us, you will have exposure to investment management topics like performance analysis or ESG integration as well as technologies that are used in modern data analysis, e.g. PowerBI and Foundry by Palantir. You will work in a collaborative environment with colleagues from Swiss Re’s Bratislava and international offices.
A regular day with us:
- Work closely with portfolio managers and analysts to develop and maintain analytical tools, models, and reports that enhance the investment performance and risk management of our portfolios
- Collaborate with other colleagues across Group Asset Management to deliver sustainable products
- Apply your investment management knowledge and quantitative skills by contributing to and impacting our decision making
- One task at hand: analysis of current and projected CO2 emissions of our estate portfolio, including benchmarking against emission reduction targets aligned with the 1.5°C Paris Agreement to highlight properties with a relatively high carbon footprint and quantify the reduction potential.
The Private Investment Analytics team is a new, highly energized team which is keen to meet you and share their knowledge! The analytics professionals combine investment management know-how, tech capabilities and quantitative methods to support directly the Front Office teams. Our aspiration is to provide state-of-the-art analytics for this growth area of Swiss Re’s investment portfolio.
About You
Nobody is perfect and meets 100% of requirements. If you, however, meet some of the criteria below and are genuinely curious about the world of analytics, we would love to hear from you:
- University degree or equivalent experience in a technical or relevant business role
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
- Passion for numbers and quantitative analysis
- Knowledge of at least one programming language (ideally Python)
- Good understanding of the data modelling principles
- Proficiency in MS-Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Good command of English (both written and spoken)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of advanced analytics (i.e. Machine Learning, Statistics)
- Experience with big data (i.e. Spark)
- Knowledge of financial products
For Slovakia the base salary range for this position is between EUR 1,600 and EUR 2,600 per month (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers:

In addition to your base salary, you may be eligible for additional rewards and benefits including an attractive performance-based bonus.
