Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IT Data Lead to head our team of talented engineers and visualization specialists. In this role, you will work closely with the business insights and analytics leadership and the Regional & Global data & analytics teams in achieving the business objective of being a data driven organization. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in data management, analytics, and visualization techniques. As an IT Data Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing the collection, storage, management, quality, and protection of data. Your leadership will ensure that the data architecture supports and informs business decisions through insightful analytics and visualizations.

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers and visualization experts, setting clear goals and objectives to align with company strategies.
  • Collaborate with Global and Regional IT and Data & Analytics teams to support LATAM business objectives.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ensure the integration of various data sources into a cohesive and efficient ecosystem.
  • Implement and maintain data governance policies and procedures to ensure data accuracy, privacy, and security.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and executive leadership, to define and implement data strategies that support business goals.
  • Ensure that data systems are robust, scalable, and support the needs of the organization now and in the future.
  • Collaborate in the design and implementation of data warehousing solutions, ensuring optimal storage, performance, and accessibility of data.
  • Drive innovation in data visualization and business intelligence, ensuring that complex data is presented in a clear and actionable format to stakeholders.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their technical skills and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments in data management, analytics, and visualization; evaluate and recommend new technologies and methodologies to keep the organization at the forefront of best practices.

Reports to role: Global Head of Seeds Data and Analytics

Location: Sao Paulo, SP. Brazil (Hybrid work)

Work Level: Manager

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience in a data management role, including time spent in a leadership position.
  • Prior experience with cloud platform like AWS will be a plus
  • Understanding translation between logical data structures & physical database objects
  • Analyzing requirements, identifying data sources, business rules & transformation logic- Strong knowledge of and experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Qlik, Power BI) and analytics platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into understandable language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced English.
  • A commitment to data integrity and a comprehensive understanding of data privacy regulations and best practices.
