About the role:

The Sr. Data Scientist – ATR (Finance) will primarily work within the Controllership & Accounting designing, developing, testing, and maintaining innovative and strategic technology solutions that align with our business goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reporting and analytical solutions to support data-driven decision making for upper management.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance Business Intelligence Solutions and Analytics Dashboards using Database Systems, Data Warehouses, Microsoft, Oracle and other systems and platforms as required.
  • Design, develop and support Workflow-Enabled Custom Business Solutions.
  • Support and Troubleshoot Enterprise and Custom BI Systems, Solutions and Analytics Platforms.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Collect data from existing legacy sources as well as new data sources including Oracle EBS and cloud platforms.
  • Design, develop and support Interfaces from and to various business and enterprise applications.
  • Identify valuable data sources and automate collection processes.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Learn and use current, best-of-breed computing tools for delivering solutions.
  • Identify, recommend, and prioritize new solutions and applications in conjunction with business requirements.
  • Conduct research and attend training for current and emerging business intelligence technologies in support of reporting needs.
  • Produce accurate analyses and/or hypotheses testing by applying algorithms to large structured as well as unstructured datasets.
  • Understand key paths, patterns and customer behaviors leading to desired as well as undesired business outcomes; perform deep data analysis to understand root causes and develop business strategies to solve for problem areas.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in information technology or a directly related field.
Experience: Accounting & Finance background. 

  • 5+ years business domain experience. Must have experience across several relevant business domains in the utilization of critical thinking skills to conceptualize complex business problems and their solutions using large scale business data sets.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel knowledge.
  • Technical knowledge of the Oracle R12 e-Business Suite applications and instance environment(s) for the Finance business segment.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of relational databases and SQL.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development.
  • Experience with Microsoft BI Stack & PowerBI.
  • Programming knowledge (.NET, Python, C#, JavaScript etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of MS SharePoint and Office Suite.
