Job Description
Data is at the heart of what we do.
Depop is looking for a Analytics Engineering (AE) Lead to join our Insights team. The Insights team at Depop helps our product, marketing, strategy, finance, and operations teams make data-driven decisions, and our AEs are a critical part of enabling this by making data as accessible as possible to the analysts and the wider business. This role will drive our AE roadmap working closely with the wider data engineering ecosystem at Depop, and will also manage our team of AEs. You will help manage our growing information needs and support analysis of increasingly complex business problems by:
- Ensuring that our data is fit-for-purpose and usable by the business, including helping to design our data model and writing and testing dbt models and other ETLs to present data in an efficient and accessible format
- Building and promoting self-service tools and data best practices that will be used across the organisation, including taking ownership of our BI and reporting tools, in particular Looker.
You will work closely with business stakeholders from a wide variety of domains within Depop, as well as our Insights, MarTech and Data Engineering teams.
We’re building scalable and robust systems to harvest, process and analyse the vast data within our tech ecosystem. With an increasing demand to service other areas of the business, and ultimately our 25 million users, you’ll be at the forefront of pioneering Data-as-a-Service.
