Lead – Business Analytics & Data Management
Job Description
Strategic:
- Data Management, Review & Reporting
- Generate airline marketing standard or custom reports, PowerPoint presentation summarizing traffic, financial, or economic data.
- Develop strategies for effective data analysis and reporting of airline marketing division
- Maintain library of model documents, reports, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
- Apply industry knowledge to interpret data and direction to improve performance.
Key KPI’s:
- Traffic Performance reports, PowerPoint (Monthly, Quarterly, Annual), Proactive Reporting, Error free accurate budget & forecast, articulate data effectively, support teams in the division to increasing airline ATMs & passenger traffic.
Forecasting & Budgeting
- Develop annual traffic budgets & maintain mid to long traffic forecast.
- Cooperation with cross functional teams in finance, cargo, non-aero, regulatory tariff, operations etc. from data perspective.
- Demand analysis to support team in achieving airline marketing business volumes / targets.
Business Analytics:
- Create aviation business intelligence unit, tools, or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs.
- Maintain or update airline marketing intelligence tools, subscriptions, databank, dashboards, systems, or methods.
- Collect business intelligence data from available industry reports, public information, field reports, or purchased sources for airline business case.
- Analyze competitive market strategies through periodic analysis of airports, airline product, market, or share trends.
Stakeholder Management:
- Maintaining professional relationship with specific job functions in airline accounts at HQ & regional level
- Effective represent in the consultation meetings, regulatory, reviews and budget projections and other need basis.
- Attendance to job function specific Industry meets, event / forums etc.
- Keep abreast of industry news and trends.
Functional Skills
- Knowledge of commercial aviation data analytics with Airlines / Airports/ Consulting firms or Aviation Intelligence data service providers. Additional understanding of Network planning / aircraft sales with Aircraft manufacturing will be of great value.
- Strong in Data Management, Querying & Analysis, Statistical Analysis, Budgeting, Business Acumen in Airports and/ or Airlines.
- Commercial acumen on what airline/aircraft/route combination yields best overall topline revenue (Aero & Non-Aero) benefits to the airport.
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Degree preferably in business analytics or economics or statistics.
- BE /BTech along with specialized course in commercial aviation data, aviation business planning or analysis.
- Advanced MS office, Knowledge of Power BI other key business tools
Experience
- 10+ years of overall experience, 3 to 5 years with hands on experience in Data analytics/ Methodology & Strategy
- Prior experience of handling business analysis, intelligence tools for reports
- Exposure to aviation industry is preferred
