Lead Data Architect

Member of the Strategy & Architecture function. Responsible for reviewing and analysing the data infrastructure of Ardagh, plan future databases, and implement solutions to store and manage data for the organization and their users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Select and implement the appropriate tools, software, applications, and systems to support Ardagh’s data technology goals.
• Provide leadership to the Data Architecture & Data Governance
• Oversee the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics, with the goal of ensuring data quality.
• Collaborate with project leads and consultants and business unit leaders of Ardagh for all projects involving enterprise data and analytics.
• Provide technical recommendations and engage with Data Architects, Business SMEs and other stakeholders of Ardagh throughout the Solution/Data Architecture and implementation lifecycle and recommend effective solutions to develop high performance and highly scalable data solutions.
• Address data-related problems of Ardagh in regard to systems integration, compatibility, and multiple-platform integration.
• Develop and implement key components as needed to create testing criteria in order to guarantee the fidelity and performance of data architecture.
• Document the project and program data architecture and environment in order to maintain a current and accurate view of the larger data picture, an environment that supports a single version of the truth and is scalable to support Ardagh’s future analytical needs
• Identify and develop opportunities for data reuse, migration, or retirement and platform upgrades.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other related field
• Experience using modern cloud data technologies or architectures (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Microsoft Power BI, Azure Purview) to deliver resilient and scalable data pipelines
