Marsh & McLennan Shared Services LLC is seeking candidates for the following position based in the New York, New York office (a telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with company policies):
Lead Specialist – Data Science
We will count on you to:
Responsible for utilizing analytics tools to derive information from data stored in silos. Develop use cases and data visualization. Deliver value to the business from data analysis and document, catalog, profile, cleanse and audit the data. Create simple schemas, search indexes for each data set, create standard profiles and continually advocate for new and improved data. Provide reporting on the status of severity issues, actions, and resolutions during shift. Review incidents, changes and requests, to provide recommendations on trends such as excessive aging or incomplete troubleshooting of tickets. Maintain compliance to avoid risks of system outages or compromised data. Perform in-depth analysis, problem determination and resolution as it relates to trends in areas such as backup, incidents, change orders and system metrics, including capacity planning. Report and analyze system events and monitor data to identify areas for automation. Assist Data Center Operations managers in reviewing incidents, changes and requests, and making recommendations on trends to excessive aging or incomplete troubleshooting of tickets through the use of data visualization and dashboards. Conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure accurate predictive forecasting and/or classification. Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. Maintain analytical systems and data repositories to verify the accuracy data. Serve as liaison with data owners. Gather reporting and analysis requirements to translate into reporting structures data models, including aggregate tables, relational and dimensional. Profile and analyze source data to determine the best reporting structures. Conduct analysis and build proprietary Data Science and Machine Learning Models in the information security and cybersecurity space. Expertise in developing and story-telling through dashboards in Cybersecurity space.
What you need to have:
Must have a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Intelligence and Analytics or a related field plus one (1) year of experience in the position offered, as a Data Analytics Developer, or a related position. Must have one (1) year of experience must have: Leveraging data management processes, available infrastructures, and API tools to develop codebases and solutions; Responsible for algorithm development to analyze unstructured texts and run pattern analysis; Collaborating with IT infrastructure teams to establish an analytics platform or/and standard procedures for use across the business; Conducting statistical methods, including correlations and regressions, ANOVA, resampling, and effect size; Applying data analytics to solve diverse problems; Developing POCs with quick turnaround to suffice the needs of business stakeholders; Data Analytics, including analysis, calibrating and validating Data Science and Machine Learning Models in the Cybersecurity domain; Creating dashboards in Cybersecurity and Vulnerability Management domain; Creating dashboards to showcase, including risk tiers, risk scores and risk types; and Conducting story-telling from the executive dashboard on threat assessment and cybersecurity.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $148,700 – $223,000.00/ year.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
