Main Purpose of Job:

• The MDM focuses primarily on distinct subjects within an MDM Organization including; Customer Master Data, Vendor Master Data, Local Data Organizer & Reference Data, and the successful candidates are generally highly skilled with their specific discipline and should be able to coordinate cross function to be able to mitigate risk, issues by forcing solutions and enhancements, usually the candidate should have the ability to connect with the business in addition, should be able to collect, monitor and distribute information related to MDM team projects.

A Day in the life:

Data Governance and Management:

  • Collaborate with key teams (CMD, VMD, LDO & Reference Data) to validate and approve all types of master data requests efficiently.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective and secure data management practices.
  • Design and implement strategies to ensure the quality, accuracy, and legitimacy of data collection.

Data Integrity and Resolution:

  • Work with business units to identify and resolve master data inconsistencies in a timely manner.
  • Manage and maintain the integrity of customer and vendor data across all systems.
  • Ensure timely data replication across relevant systems.

System Management and Improvement:

  • Operate and manage established systems for internal data management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend system enhancements.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Facilitate clear and effective communication of any process or data changes across internal teams.
  • Collaborate with the Master Data Manager and Business Analyst to develop tools for efficient data management and improved accuracy.

Data Analysis and Problem-solving:

  • Analyze existing customer and vendor data for inconsistencies and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Participate actively in integration projects involving customer, vendor master data, and reference data changes.

Data Quality Management:

  • Perform data cleansing activities for customer and vendor master data to improve data accuracy and eliminate outdated or irrelevant information.

 

Am I a good fit?

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • SAP experience in data management modules (e.g., MDM, ECC) a strong plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Initiative and a willingness to learn new technologies.
