Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Inc./ Oklahoma City, Oklahoma/ Manager of Business Intelligence Duties: This position is responsible for creating self-serve analytical tools and reports to be used by a broad range of teams throughout the business; generating reporting, including writing queries, developing data sources, and creating reports, to help business teams identify data patterns and trends from available data sources; establishing best practices, guiding team members to pull data accurately and efficiently; troubleshooting and resolving issues with data, validating results, and interpreting data to produce in-sights leveraged by business partners; building relationships with internal customers and external vendors; serving as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical business users; helping define the vision and set goals for the implementation and delivery of the Company’s data science and analytics capabilities. This position will serve as a subject matter expert on effective presentation of insights with an emphasis on data visualization tools used in the business intelligence industry, such as Tableau, and related software solutions and will perform job duties both as an individual contributor and through overseeing a team of analysts and developers who are also engaged in these duties. Must be able to produce materials to train team members and instruct business users on how to use the tools. Must have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics/Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science or related degree program that contains advanced studies on quantitative analytics or foreign equivalent, and 4 years post-degree data analytics experience working with large data sets in relational databases, writing and executing SQL queries to extract data, validating results, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and interpreting data to produce insights leveraged by business partners and which includes at least 2 years of experience in retail, consumer packaged goods, travel, restaurant or hospitality industry;  3 years of experience overseeing data analysis and managing priorities for three or more separate business users with different needs and deadlines; 2 years of experience in a senior-level or lead position in which job duties included training and managing the workload of junior-level analysts, working directly with business customers to gather requirements, curate a dataset, design a report/visualization, and present final deliverables to key stakeholders, and developing visualizations within Tableau for purposes of business analytics for a company with tiered levels of management and locations across multiple states and/or regions; and 1 year of work experience developing and interpreting technical documentation on business analytics systems for training and end use procedures and leading a tool or reporting suite including monitoring usage and identifying appropriate next steps in the lifecycle of the tool (refine/improve, drive adoption, or retire/archive).

 

Remote work allowed. If working remotely, must be able to travel to Oklahoma City on a quarterly basis to attend in-person meetings.
