Purpose
- The Manager, Product Line Management (PLM) – Data Analytics & Performance Optimization – Cross Carline is responsible for supporting a new team to
1) Enhance the speed of data analytics across all carlines to optimize business performance.
2) Support creation of all reporting and governance materials.
3) Lead creation of all ad hoc studies/presentations for senior management.
- The PLM department is responsible for maintaining comprehensive, real-time knowledge of sales performance at a national/regional/market level, inventory levels/mix, product/pricing/incentive competitiveness, marketing effectiveness, region/dealer engagement levels, competitor activity, and segment dynamics.
- The PLM department’s key mission is to achieve revenue and share objectives and provide strategic direction on strategies that optimize sales and profitability.
Major Responsibilities
- This position supports the Sr. Manager, Product Line Management – Data Analytics & Performance Optimization – Cross Carline plus the broader PLM teams.
- Elevate department big data analytics and data visualization capabilities (particularly down to region/ADI level for Incentives planning/optimization).
- Elevate templates to ensure most relevant topics are prioritized for Governance meetings.
- Support Cross Carline activities across all 3 vehicle teams (Car/Entry CUV, SUV, and EV).
- Meet with vehicle teams to understand needs and develop new tools/dashboards to improve speed and quality of data analysis.
- Collaborate with Sales Analysis & Forecasting and Incentives teams.
- Develop and manage data flow to and from Regional Field teams
Major Responsibilities (continued)
- Proactively analyze data relative to performance objectives, develop actionable recommendations to optimize performance, and present to department/executive management at regular department/governance meetings.
- Support development of new methods for pulling together data from multiple data sources as well as multi-variable analysis to facilitate development of comprehensive business optimization strategies.
- Business Unit Management: collaborate with all departments in PLM & Sales Planning Division for annual Business Plan development and objective setting and quarterly reporting.
- Support evolving EV space with new techniques.
- Support department budget (development, Prophix input, liaison with Finance).
Authority
- Develop business case for performance improvement recommendations.
- Manage cross-functional teams and projects.
Education
~ Must be a high school graduate~ Bachelor’s degree required.~ Master’s degree a plus
Related Experience
- Six or more years of professional experience at a manufacturer or distributor of consumer products with direct data analysis responsibilities (business analytics, data science, planning, pricing, and/or incentives).
- Extensive data analysis experience and data visualization expertise required.
- Automotive industry experience preferred.
- Cross-functional project management experience required.

- Experience with a variety of data sources including: PIN, Maritz, GfK, S&P Global Mobility, Strategic Vision, Ace Metrix, etc.

$86,800.00 – $124,000.00 Annual
