Job Purpose
Manage a team who is responsible for daily collection and input of OSHA incident data into the US Incident Management System (IMS), developing knowledge and oversights from the safety data, oversees industry benchmarking requirements with EEI, AGA and NETS, manages PowerBI dashboards, executive reporting and annual target setting processes, and vehicle safety programs including telematics and contractor support. Ensure accuracy and quality of Safety incident and injury data to provide relevant and up to date information to support the organization in managing safety decision making. Identify, design and implement process improvements in relation to incident/injury management process, and reporting database. Maintain and retain accurate OSHA Recordkeeping records.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage team and key stakeholders in collecting, analyzing, and reporting data.
- Work to ensure quality and consistency in all US incident data.
- Work to review and analyze incident information: identify trends and key drivers to initiate or supplement Safety Program initiatives.
- Perform and manage benchmarking to external organizations and analyzing benchmarking results.
- Team development through best practice sharing and individual skill and development tools.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of data and KPIs to regulatory authorities, business leaders, and maintain compliance with OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
- Manage inquiries on data classification processes, develop training on IMS.
- Recommend and implement efficiencies in data reporting processes and visualization techniques.
- Manage the US IMS, including prioritization of change order requests and overall team budget.
- Assist with periodic audits and training to ensure the highest quality of data and reports is maintained.
- Work closely and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide annual safety targets and manage monthly executive reporting requirements.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business or related area(s).
- 2-5 plus years of experience in safety, safety management, and/or operations, strongly preferred.
- Experience in leading a team to drive accurate data analyses and visualization skills preferred.
- Strong communication, writing and relationship-building skills.
- Strong ability to Find a Better Way: learn and train a team on new software/analytical tools.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize.
More Information
Salary: $115,000 – $135,000
This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
