Job Description

We are currently looking for a Marketing Research Analyst to join our growing Consumer Insights team! In this role, you will report directly to the Senior Director, Consumer Insights where you will be a highly visible member of the Marketing team. This role requires experience with and a passion for customer research. In addition, individuals in this role, must have a desire to build a deep understanding of the enterprise to ensure work and recommendations are aligned to the company’s overall business strategies and goals. A blend of analytical prowess, intellectual curiosity and strong communication / interpersonal skills are needed to thrive with the team. As a Market Research Analyst, your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the creation of and oversee all aspects of strategically aligned consumer research, including questionnaire design, programming, and analysis.
  • Run ongoing panels of target consumers / clients to support individual research portfolio as well as critical research questions generated elsewhere in the enterprise specific to the panels’ participants.
  • Access, gather, and perform data analysis and modeling to build insights required to make strategic decisions.
  • Work with vendors to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Develop visually appealing reports and presentation findings.
  • Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership with a focus on translating insights into actions

 

Qualifications

WHAT IT TAKES TO CATCH OUR EYE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in psychology, sociology, marketing research, marketing, economics, statistics or related field
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience conducting qualitative and quantitative market research within an advertising agency, marketing research vendor, or sophisticated client-side organization.
  • Expertise collecting, analyzing & synthesizing both quantitative and qualitative insights generating actionable recommendations.
  • Prior experience with survey and feedback management tools (Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, Medallia, InMoment, Confirmit, Clarabridge, etc.)
  • Experience drafting questionnaires, surveys, polls, discussion guides and other data collection methods.
  • Knowledge of SAS or SPSS for data tabulation, analysis and statistical procedures
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills, as well as experience working with data from diverse sources (quantitative, qualitative, various channels)
  • Experience in problem solving, research, quantitative analysis and analytical working techniques.
  • Strong aptitude and desire for learning new platforms, development, analytic and presentation tools; modeling, analytic and quantitative techniques.
  • Strong listening and communication and presentation skills, Ability to communicate clearly and articulate research findings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and working knowledge of PowerPoint as a primary communication platform or other related software.

BONUS POINTS FOR:

  • Advanced degree in psychology, sociology, marketing research, marketing, economics, statistics or related field
  • Experience moderating focus groups or 1:1 interview
  • Work experience in telecommunications or other service-based businesses
  • SQL experience
