Job Summary: 

The CCB Data Ownership Office is part of the CCB Data Strategy team serving multiple stakeholders, and sits in the middle of a large, matrixed Data Governance organization.  We strive to evaluate, develop and implement coordinated strategies and governance practices that meet multiple business and compliance objectives.  

As a Data Ownership Governance Lead, located in India,  you be part of a rapidly growing global team, who is accountable for working with the US based Data Ownership Office with the goal of extending and developing existing and new capabilities and strategies in support of our global Data Owner community. 

As a member of the CCB Chief Data Office, you will have a diverse set of responsibilities and opportunities to contribute thought-leadership on high-priority initiatives, with exposure to senior leadership within CCB and regionally. 

The goal of the CCB Data Ownership Office is to promote a culture of data ownership and accountability within the Line of Business to ensure data is safe and can be trusted for use.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop a global culture of Data Ownership driving clear accountability.
  • Execute training and communication strategies for the India-based community of CCB Data Owners (and others) to ensure that they understand their role and responsibilities.
  • Implement support, operating models, and related tooling to support the CCB Ownership Office globally.
  • Define metrics and reporting for key stakeholders to measure the progress made across this strategic initiative.
  • Collaborate with Control and Audit functions to ensure our strategies align with Firmwide and CCB policies and standards, as well as relevant regulatory or legislative requirements. Ensure controls are properly documented in Firmwide tooling.
  • Lead and support other prioritized Data Governance initiatives.

 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

 Experience and skills to be successful in this role:

  • Basic understanding of the importance of data, data risks and data controls
  • Overall 12+ years and 3+ years in Data Governance, Risk Management, or Controls experience in the financial sector
  • Experience with Agile project management practices and SDLC processes
  • Proven ability to develop strong partnerships and collaborations.
  • Experience with defining and implementing a multi-faceted project or program.
  • Recognized as a team player.
  • Proven ability to take initiative, influence others, and achieve results.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Comfortable with continuously changing priorities
