Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park

Business & Team: Technology Team is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business. We also use technology to drive efficient and timely processing, an essential component of great customer service.
The Chief Data Analytics Office (CDAO) provides specialised data services and platforms for the CommBank group and is accountable for developing Group’s data strategy, data policy and standards, governance and set requirements for data enablers/ tools. The team is also accountable to facilitate a community of practitioners to share best practice and build data talent and capabilities.

Impact & Contribution: To ensure the Group achieves sustainable competitive advantage through data & analytics, you will need to play a key role in supporting the CDO in executing to the Groups data strategy. You will utilise cutting-edge technologies to solve our customers’ hardest data centric problems. One of your key responsibilities will be to contribute to the design and build of MLOps framework, which will be leveraged by other LOBs in the group. This will include sound knowledge of the Groups data strategy, architecture and technology roadmap, aligning business needs and ensuring appropriate service levels of the CDO technology services. You will adopt tools and templates used across CDO that underpin our data and analytics capabilities for the Group.

Roles & Responsibilities: You will be expected to perform the following tasks and responsibilities in a manner consistent with CBA’s Values and People Capabilities.

  • Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and systems necessary for efficient MLOps including model deployment/monitoring/orchestration.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for ML usecases to ensure efficient and automated model deployment.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to build robust ML pipelines that can handle large datasets and traffic.
  • Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to track model performance, data drift, and system health.
  • Maintain security adherence and compliance standards, including data privacy and model explainability.
  • Ensure clear and comprehensive documentation of MLOps processes, infrastructure, along with configurations.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and DevOps, to ensure smooth model deployment and operations.

Essential Skills:

  • 5-7 years of strong experience in building & packaging enterprise applications into Docker containers.
  • Strong experience in Big Data, CI/CD tools (e.g Git/GitHub, TeamCity, Artifactory, Octopus, Jenkins)
  • Experience in automating repetitive tasks using Ansible, Terraform; AWS (EKS/ECS, CloudFormation) and Kubernetes.
  • Identify and drive opportunities for continuous improvement within the team and in delivery of products.
  • Help promoting good coding standards and practices to ensure high quality.
  • Good to have:
    • Experience in Python, Shell Scripting with basic understanding of database concepts, SQL.
    • Domain experience in finance, banking, Insurance.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
