Power BI Developer
Job Description
Position Summary
The position is responsible for the identifying process gaps, opportunities for improvement, running process improvements/ projects, developing standard practices, SOPs, implementing automation. This role will lead in the digitization of the India supply chain. This role will also have a high exposure to APAC supply chain leadership and will need to share best practices
Principal Responsibilities
- Deep dive into various supply chain processes to identify gaps in standard delivery or opportunities to improve
- Match internal practices to intra-company, industry and global best practices and assist in development of a transformation plan towards process excellence
- Drive Kaizen/ VSM (Lean)/ 6 Sigma workshops with various stakeholders and follow up on closure of actions and outcomes
- Convert process improvement goals to business opportunities and present business case of senior stakeholders and get their buy-in
- Deliver on cost improvement/ efficiency improvement targets year on year
- Keep abreast of technology trends and look at opportunities to utilize technology and provide a clear benefit analysis
- Provide deep analysis (Prescriptive/ Predictive) leading towards business actions
- Help implement data models and automation developed by digital supply chain team
- Develop strong solution design documents, work with digital experts on automation/ technology implementation, develop SOPs, design control plans and metrics for sustenance. Will revisit the completed process improvements periodically for ensuring sustenance and also new opportunities
- Present progress against plan to senior executives
- Work with multiple functions/ business units across the company to provide an end-to-end solution
Education / Experience Requirements
- Mandatory course from Computer Science and Automation (CSA)/ Electrical Communication Engineering (ECE)/ Electronic Systems Engineering (ESE)
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is mandatory
- Strong communication skills.
- Strong in MS office skills (Excel, MIS report preparation, MS Office).
- Good understanding of business, Strong Analytical Skills, and attention to detail/Quality
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
- Experience in working on Supply Chain processes/ projects across functions
- Experience in implementing supply chain improvement and sustenance of the initiatives
- Green belt in 6 Sigma/ Lean. Deep understanding of various tools and stage gate deliverables
- Project planning experience
- Good commercial understanding and ability to develop cost vs benefit analysis
- Advanced Excel skills (mandatory)
- Mastery on at least one of the below technology tools:
- Supply chain planning tools
- VBA + Excel programming leading to SAP scripting, automation of reports
- Data visualization and analytics using Power BI/ R (preferred)/ Python (preferred)/ Tableau
- Data mining from various business repositories
- Excellent presentation skills
- Data modelling skills (good to have)
- Strong verbal and written communication
