Job Description

The EVERSANA Internship Program is a 10-week paid position designed to offer college students the opportunity to learn about a career in life sciences. Interns will work in real-world business situations, be paired with a mentor, or team, to discover different aspects of the industry, and learn about the inner workings of our practice.

Qualified applicants must be rising juniors or rising seniors in undergraduate studies.
As an AI Product Team Intern, you will be immersed in a dynamic environment, collaborating with our team to innovate and enhance our AI products. This role is ideal for a creative and driven individual with a strong foundation in data science and analytics, eager to apply and expand their technical skills in a real-world setting. You will learn how the development workflow process works within our practice. Most importantly, we want to you to have fun while learning from leaders in their field. All interns will work remotely starting June 3, 2024 – through Fri August 9, 2024.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Helping plan, organize, and coordinate various projects, programs, and services.
  • Fostering clear communications using Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook and Project)
  • Demonstrating a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias. 
  • Collaborating with the product team to develop and refine AI-driven features and products.
  • Assisting in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets to inform product decisions.
  • Writing and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code primarily in Python and SQL.
  • Utilizing HTML to assist in the development and improvement of product interfaces.
  • Participating in the design and implementation of data visualization tools and dashboards.
  • Contributing to the ideation and brainstorming sessions for new product features and enhancements.
  • Supporting the integration of AI models into existing product platforms.
  • Documenting and presenting findings and insights to team members and stakeholders.
  • All other duties as assigned

  • Hours:  40 hours per week, 9am-5pm ET, Monday-Friday

Qualifications

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

To be considered for an internship in our PM Team, you’ll need the following qualifications:

  • Education:  Currently pursuing or recently graduated in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Technology:  Proficiency in Python and SQL 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Some experience with managing team-based, complex tasks and projects end-to-end is helpful.
  • Solid math and analytical aptitude
  • Strong foundation in data science and analytics.
  • Proficient in Python for data manipulation, analysis, and model development.
  • Intent understanding of SQL for database querying and management.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and skills
  • Ability to communicate with coworkers clearly and professionally
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize and be comfortable pivoting as needed in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong initiative and excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Familiarity with software development and version control tools (e.g., Git)
  • Experience with data visualization tools like Highcharts.
  • Familiarity with templating engines like Jinja.
  • Foundational understanding of JavaScript and JSON for web development and data handling.
  • Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for technology and AI.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    The physical and mental requirements along with the work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

    Office: While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently required to reach, grasp, stand and/or sit for long periods of time (up to 90% of the shift), walk, talk and hear; occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet, with frequent interruptions and multiple demands.

    EVERSANA is committed to providing competitive salaries and benefits for all employees. The hourly rate for this position is $20/hr and is not applicable to locations outside of the U.S.  The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position.  Compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living).  EVERSANA reserves the right to modify this base salary range at any time.
