The People Analytics & Insights team empowers a data driven approach to HR and people decisions regarding our global workforce. We are uniquely positioned to provide unbiased insights to unlock value and drive outcomes enabling HR and business strategy.

The People Analytics & Insights team:

  • Listens to and empowers the team member and external stakeholder voice
  • Governs and securely makes people data available across HR and the enterprise
  • Leverages interdisciplinary scientific techniques to generate deep insight informing enterprise strategies
  • Generates analytic products to democratize data and insight at scale
  • Integrates into the business as strategic analytics partners to inform strategy and operations across HR pillars

About the role:

The Principal People Data Operations Analyst will play a strategic leadership role within the People Analytics & Insights team, responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions that support advanced people analytics initiatives. This role requires a strategic thinker who can lead cross-functional collaboration efforts, driving the adoption of data solutions that enhance HR strategy. The successful candidate will bridge technical expertise with business insight to foster innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Lead the design and execution of innovative, scalable data architectures in partnership with enterprise data and product engineering teams to support long-term business and people analytics strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with People Analytics functions, engineering teams, and key business stakeholders to ensure unified data platforms meet evolving business needs.
  • Data Governance: Develop and enforce comprehensive data governance practices that prioritize data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Innovation and Adoption: Champion the adoption of new data technologies, driving organizational change by translating technical advancements into strategic value for HR.
  • Mentorship and Team Development: Foster an inclusive team environment by mentoring and guiding team members, promoting professional growth, and leveraging diverse perspectives for better outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives to discover, design, and implement data workflows that improve efficiency and data accuracy across the organization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical solutions into clear, actionable business insights.

About You:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 14+ years of experience in HR data management, with at least 3 years working with Workday data.
  • Proven experience in driving strategic data initiatives, including data governance, quality, and scalable pipeline development.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, Scala, SQL, and Apache Kafka, with demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • A strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to achieving organizational goals.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with evolving data technologies, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of innovation.
