Job Description

Job Req Number:  79085
Time Type: Full Time

Would you like to impact a large, global business through innovative BI solutions that will allow us to set the right KPIs, prioritise our efforts and create performance improvement across the entire DSV Road globally?

In this role, you will be an important link between the business and our Power BI developers as the owner of one or more BI products – from idea to implementation at our local locations.

“You’ll join a new team enthusiastic about visualising key figures – from operations to top management – for decision-making. There’s plenty of room to let your inner pioneer out as you take part in defining your products,” explains Lars Nordam, Manager BI and Performance Management.

Join a new, international team

Based in Hedehusene Denmark, you will join our recently established BI and Performance Management team. We are an international team of 8 colleagues based in Bulgaria, Portugal, Norway and Denmark. Together with our business units, we are responsible for establishing, prioritising and maintaining business intelligence in DSV Road.

Our aim is to establish fact-based reporting, enabling performance improvement across the business, and our efforts have a direct link to the overall strategy of further growth.

“We have a great, diverse team with a shared mission of creating something new together. We’re laying the tracks as we go and try to be innovative when developing new solutions,” says Lars.

Own BI products with high-value creation across the business

In this role, you will be responsible for one or more global BI products aiming at creating value for the business through great reporting and the ability to unify the products across multiple business areas. Thus, you will be the one to determine the requirements for the BI products, work with the stakeholders and involve the business in user acceptance tests – all the way to prototyping the products and implementing them.

Also, you will handle the development of local reports, ensuring that local Power BI reports are aligned with defined best practices.

Specifically, you will:

  • Define required data sources and registrations needed for the development of BI products
  • Guide a community for local BI development to create alignment
  • Set standards and best practices for local BI development
  • Create test cases for testing and approval by users

”It’s all about understanding the business and facilitating the work with local Power BI to ensure a joint way forward. So, you’ll really have a say in the development of your products,” explains Lars.

Power BI experience and solid stakeholder management skills

As a person, you have solid stakeholder management skills, great planning skills and an orientation towards business needs. You know how to create structure and establish a unified way of working, and you enjoy creative thinking when it comes to developing products.

Finally, we imagine that you:

  • Have experience from a similar role and solid knowledge of Power BI solutions and best practices
  • Have experience in prioritising BI development
  • Are data-minded and have experience with data’s impact on reporting
  • Are fluent in English
