About the hiring department
Within Vattenfall the Business Unit Customers is offering power purchase agreements to operators of wind or solar parks and connects customers to fossil free electricity. We provide market access services to industry and (regional) energy suppliers and connect demand-side flexibility of industry to stabilize the electricity grid. We furthermore source electricity for Vattenfall’s customers with a strong focus to increase renewable sources of electricity.
Together, we drive the energy transition and contribute to a journey towards becoming fossil-free. You will collaborate with inspiring people around you, on complex and interesting topics, while having a culture of care and growth.
What will you do?
In your role as a Renewables Data Analyst, you will have the incredible opportunity to work in a diverse international setting to unleash the commercial value of our existing portfolio of renewable assets. As a professional, your main responsibilities will revolve around unlocking the value of data for our existing portfolio for business steering and process excellence. This role specifically includes to maintain, extend and develop our existing and future bots as a citizen developer.. The role will allow you to actively engage with a broad stakeholder community empowering you to enhance your knowledge and expertise in the dynamic world of renewable energy markets.
Responsibilities
Within Vattenfall as the Renewables Data Analyst you have the following key responsibilities:
- You develop new products and services within our software suite as citizen developer and thus have a strong affinity to program low code solutions
- You will hold responsibility for accuracy of underlying data flows and the related data governance
- You analyze existing data in order to find potential improvements of existing processes as well as to increase our business performance and profitability
- You support process execution along the end-2-end process and especially for onboarding of new assets and clients, market communication, portfolio optimization and settlement
- You will participate and lead project initiatives to implement change

Qualifications
Who are you?
We are looking for a candidate with the following knowledge and background:
- Proper understanding of energy and the renewables PPA market
- Relevant work experience of 1 to 2 years and network in the energy sector
- Experience as a citizen developer using cloud-based low code solutions or other programming experience like Python
- Experience with data driven systems used for sales, as well as energy market communication and settlement
- Solid attention to detail and affinity for analytic work including knowledge of Microsoft PowerBI and Power Platform (or comparable platforms) for low-code development. Knowledge in Robotic Process Autmation (RPA) with UIPath or Blue Prism is considered a plus.
- University degree in relevant discipline, such as engineering or data science
- Team player with excellent communication skills and solution orientation
- Fluent in English, written and verbal; solid knowledge in German is considered a plus
