Research Assistant for Machine Learning and Database Systems for Dosing Systems
Job Description
Specialization: Automation engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, cybernetics, logistics, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, mathematics, mechatronics, physics, control engineering, software design, software engineering, computer engineering, technology management, industrial engineering or comparable.
In dosing technology, various components, such as those needed for the production of sealing foam or paint, are precisely combined using pumps and mixing devices. This process allows for the efficient and accurate creation of products through the targeted combination of their components. Currently, the design of many such systems is performed manually, which is time-consuming. This process is laborious as it requires extensive expertise and must be completely repeated for each new system. Therefore, the design of the systems is to be automated by using rule-based algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI).
What you will do
With us, you will take on a variety of tasks in the area of interacting with database systems (SAP or SQL) for dosing systems. From this, a process graph will be developed. You will work on the development of logic- or ML-based classification systems for assemblies, create graphical user interfaces (GUIs), perform tests and validations, and document the results of your work.
What you bring to the table
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in a MINT (STEM) field
- Good experience in Python, Numpy
- Experience with database systems (SQL, ERP, e.g., SAP)
- Independent and systematic approach to work
What you can expect
You can expect a high degree of creative freedom in your role with us, supported by a friendly and dedicated team that creates a pleasant working atmosphere. Furthermore, we offer you the opportunity to participate in practical research projects for a medium-sized industrial partner, allowing you to gain valuable experience.
The work can be done in english or german.
