The Opportunity
The Risk Data Analyst is part of Worldline Merchant Services Italia’s Second Line of Defence Risk, with its primary responsibility being to monitor the risk management framework that governs merchant risk throughout the merchant lifecycle. Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and working in collaboration with the Company’s Merchant Risk Manager, the Risk Data Analyst is responsible for identifying, analyzing, monitoring, and controlling merchant risk, including credit, fraud, payment schemes, and integrity.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support in ERM Risk Assessment using analytical methods based on data analysis and predictive methodologies.
- Execution and monitoring of Risk Assessment, aiding Business Units in identifying and assessing operational risks.
- Monitoring and execution of internal controls related to the perimeter.
- Participation in the updates of the Merchant Risk Framework and related internal regulations.
- Support in assessing the risks associated with new processes, products, and outsourcing.
- Contribution to the development and update of the Risk Appetite Framework.
- Analysis and monitoring of Merchant Risks.
Who Are We Looking For

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, or Statistics.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in risk assessment and internal controls management.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office 365 suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent knowledge of a business intelligence platform (preferably Power BI).
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Curious, analytical, able to interpret and apply rules to business, possess risk assessment capabilities, and strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and precise individual
- Proactive and autonomous
- Ability to organize work to meet deadlines
- Strong focus on results
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills and is an investigative thinker with a keen attention to detail. They should have the ability to analyze and synthesize data, evaluate business problems, and engage in brainstorming sessions.
- Must be able to work under pressure and manage multiple and varied activities simultaneously to meet internal and regulatory deadlines.
