Job Description

As the Robotics Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) you will be responsible for leading our AI 
strategy and driving the implementation of AI initiatives across the organization. Reporting directly to 
Ujjwal Kumar, the Robotics Group President, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI roadmap 
and ensuring its alignment with our business objectives. Including identifying opportunities for AI to 
enhance business operations, improve customer experiences, and drive growth. The CAIO will 
collaborate closely with the two operating businesses (Universal Robots and Mobile Industrial 
Robots) and cross-functional stakeholders to develop, implement, and deliver impactful AI-driven 
solutions to enhance our products, services, and operations. 

Key Responsibilities: 
• Develop and implement a comprehensive vision for the use of AI that is aligned with the 
companies long term growth plans. 
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization and with the Board 
of Directors, advocating for the value of AI and fostering support for AI initiatives.
• Co-lead the Teradyne AI Council in partnership with the VP of R&D in SemiTest.
• Lead the development and execution of AI projects from concept to delivery, ensuring timely 
and successful implementation. 
• Drive cultural change and organizational readiness for AI adoption, promoting awareness, 
understanding, and acceptance of AI technologies.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and industry experts to identify 
opportunities for AI driven innovation, partnerships, and collaborations. 
• Stay up to date on emerging AI technologies, tools, and trends, and assess their potential 
impact and relevance to the organization.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with AI initiatives, ensuring compliance with 
regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
• Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness and impact of AI initiatives, and 
regularly report on progress to senior leadership.
• Serve as a thought leader in the field of AI, representing the company at industry events, 
conferences, and forums, and contributing to thought leadership publications.

Qualifications: 
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field. 
• Proven track record of leadership in AI strategy development and implementation, preferably 
in a similar industry or sector.
• Extensive experience in leading AI projects and managing multidisciplinary teams.
• Deep understanding of AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural 
language processing, computer vision, etc.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate business requirements into AI solutions that 
drive value and innovation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage 
stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical AI principles and responsible AI practices.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of ambiguity 
and uncertainty.
