The SAP Material Master Data Specialist will be responsible for creating and maintaining different areas of master data for the Material Masters and ensuring accuracy and standardization of Master Data Records across all wind/solar farms.
Responsibilities:
- Create all material masters in SAP
- Check to see if material is existing through research in SAP
- Verify part request information on template that Inventory Team submits
- Verify data is accurate and info provided meets RWECE material nomenclature standards
- Submit materials in MDG system for material creation
- Once material is received extend to plants requested and notify the requester
- Extend all materials in SAP
- To different plants and storage locations
- To different valuation types
- Create and request new storage location if needed
- Maintain and update all material master data in SAP as needed
- Update purchase order text as parts are superseded
- Update purchase order text, OEM, and OEM number when vendors are changed
- Assist with bin locations updates as needed
- Mass extension
- Request all mass creation, extensions and all other mass uploads for master data
- Manage and submit all contract requests for the RWECE Inventory
- Request all source list adds to contracts
- Verify information on template submitted from the Inventory Team
- Submit contract changes to procurement
- Track and update contract request sheet on SharePoint
- Notify requester of approval
- Request SAP access in the GRC system for new and existing employees
- Attain proper documentation for SAP access requests and attach in the GRC system
- Aide team with creating work instructions and process maps with assistance of MM Manager
- Send notifications to team when new work instructions and process maps are created
- Oversee yearly review of work instruction and process maps with assistance of MM Manager
- Gather and update data for the performance board weekly as needed
- Pull data for operations, procurement, and engineering for parts consumption, failure rate, purchase history, etc.
- Pull reports from SAP and input data into graphs and pivot tables
- Assist team with any issues or questions that arise with standard inventory or operations procedures
- Act as a liaison between the inventory team and other areas of the company (i.e. procurement, accounting, fixed asset, engineering)
- Assist team members with any SAP issues regarding any Master Data issues
- Create and monitor inventory counts monthly
- Responsible for all new requests for serialization of parts including maintaining the respective fields in SAP necessary for serialization
- Maintain data for functional locations and material info on master file on SharePoint
- Update and maintain Inventory documents on SharePoint
- Maintain spreadsheet with OEM and manufacturer information
- Oversee gathering of OEM and manufacturer information for material master enhancement
- Submit changes to global team for mass uploads
- Request and monitor missing weights in SAP
- Add any other missing information as notified by the inventory team or procurement
- Support and assist Inventory MM Manager in maintaining standard inventory processes and procedures for SAP MM
- SAP MM Process Improvement and standardization across the fleet
Qualifications:
- High School degree required
- Associates degree or higher in business or technical preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of SAP Material Management transactional experience
- Prefer experience in wind power or other similar utility or industrial setting
- Make effective use of available resources to achieve Company and department goals and objectives
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize critical projects and processes
Other Qualificaitons:
- Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
- Ability to work within tight deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned
- Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships
- Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
- Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
- Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts
