National Grid is hiring a Senior Account Manager, Streetlighting for our New England Jurisdiction.  This position can be located in Waltham MA, Northboro MA, Hopedale MA, Brockton MA or Worcester MA location.

Job Purpose

 

 

Candidate will possess the ability to communicate across diverse internal and external groups. Responsible for responding to inquiries related to streetlights in the MA area including but not limited to streetlight requests, line extensions, and lights out investigations.  

 

 

Key Accountabilities

 

 

  • Build strong strategic relationships with key stakeholders such as Jurisdictions, Operations, Customer Service, Regulatory, Pricing, Risk & Insurance, Distribution Design, Engineering Standards and IS – to deliver high impact and customer satisfaction. 
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting on progress of Outdoor Lighting initiatives.
  • Advocate for the “voice of the customer” and mobilize National Grid’s functional areas to balance desired outcomes of individual customers with the commercial interests of the company and impact to entire customer base.
  •  
  • Administer and improve inventory and billing systems and processes. Continuously assess and manage daily tasks with the understanding that system and process issues may arise that require immediate attention and resolution.
  • Identify, design and implement enhancements to existing policies, processes and systems to improve efficiency and performance related to all aspects of Outdoor Lighting (OL) efforts.
  • Participate and/or represent Outdoor Lighting (OL) New England on project teams working on various corporate initiatives to improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Maintain and provide training and direction for the NE street lighting group.   
  • Prepare and report team KPI’s on an ongoing basis.

 

 

Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required

 

  • Ability to communicate to stakeholders at all levels in the organization.
  • Work well in a team.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or relevant experience, and 7+ years of work experience 
  • Required intermediate Excel skills, Powerpoint, Word, CSS, Smartsheet
  • Desired GIS, Storms, SAP knowledge  
  • Knowledge of relevant industry practice, standards and best practices.
  • Knowledge of outdoor lighting and the electric distribution system preferred.
  • Knowledge of current trends within the industry and developments in Outdoor Lighting.
  • Knowledge of National Grid’s business operations, company policies and practices preferred.
  • Knowledge of standards, procedures and safety practices related in the fields of work.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

MA Salary

$84,000 – $99,000 a year
