We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Embedded Software Engineer with expertise in ML (with preference for LLM experience) to join our dynamic team at Cerence. As an Embedded LLM AI Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and optimizing LLM algorithms tailored for embedded systems used in automotive environments.
But that’s not all! As a Cerence team member, you’ll also:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate LLMs and ML algorithms into Cerence’s automotive software solutions.
- Ensure seamless integration and compatibility with existing automotive systems, working closely with software engineers, hardware engineers, and automotive OEMs.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of LLM and ML algorithms to ensure high performance, reliability, and robustness in real-world automotive environments.
- Develop test suites, and conduct unit tests, integration tests, and validation tests on hardware prototypes or actual vehicles.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in LLM and ML technologies and contribute to research and innovation efforts within the company.
- Explore new algorithms, techniques, and tools to improve the performance, efficiency, and capabilities of LLM and ML solutions for automotive applications.
Who you are:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
- Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, with practical experience in developing and optimizing LLM models.
- Proven experience in software development using embedded machine learning hardware accelerators (NPU, GPU).
- Strong embedded programming skills (C/C++) and experience with embedded development tools and environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with automotive software development processes, standards, and protocols is a plus.
