About the role
Zillow Group is looking for a Business Intelligence Manager to join our Marketing Strategy team. The role will leverage data to make meaningful recommendations that drive Marketing initiatives forward. Ideal candidates are strategic analytical problem solvers who are results-driven and demonstrate meticulous attention to detail. They will have a proven track record of developing creative solutions to complex and ambiguous problems, and the ability to effectively collaborate across functions and levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Leverage data and analytics to investigate underlying business trends and proactively identify risks and opportunities for Marketing and the business
- Formulate and deliver insights around business problems in a detailed and persuasive manner
- Partner with senior functional leaders within Marketing to develop strategies, evaluate opportunities, and provide clear and concise recommendations
- Develop the right processes, models, and analysis to meet business needs. Explore and validate future-state strategic solutions, translating your ideas into action
- Provide analytics advisory and develop recommendations to scale analytics and data driven decision making capabilities across the Marketing organization
- Handle multiple simultaneous requests and juggle competing demands requiring ability to triage and shift focus when needed
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.
In California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington the standard base pay range for this role is $117,000.00 – $187,000.00 Annually. This base pay range is specific to California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New York and Washington and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location.
Who you are
- 8+ years in a Business Intelligence or similar role required
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience working with SQL and Tableau (or a similar data visualization tool) required
- Expertise in working with relational databases, collecting data, and performing complex analysis on large datasets
- Solid understanding of marketing best practices and experience formulating marketing strategies and recommendations
- Experience translating analyses into implications and strategies that have driven business results
- Can identify and develop solutions to complex problems from a strategic and operational perspective
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, with the competence to educate and collaborate with non-technical to superbly-technical audiences
- Ability to establish trust and strong working relationships with business partners
- Experience working in or in supporting a growth marketing, performance marketing, and/or paid media team is a plus
- An ownership mentality, comfort charting a new course, confidence in the face of ambiguity, and a bias toward action in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (Economics, Finance, Math, Statistics); MBA preferred
