About the role:
The Commercial Data Analyst is a critical role in helping fuel growth across the entire Cardiac Diagnostic portfolio at Boston Scientific. This individual will assess massive data sets, make insightful cross-platform recommendations, and provide judicious ideas to stakeholders. This key commercial role is embedded within the diagnostic Marketing teams across the key products of LUX-Dx & BodyGuardian.
This is a hybrid work mode based out of our Arden Hills, MN facility with the expectation of being on-site 2-3 days per week.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Act as a consultative partner who works with key commercial partners to inform decisions through analyses and development of applicable insights, serving as a judicious partner to commercial teams, identifying business opportunities and communicating insights through secondary data mining.
- Investigates the feasibility of applying scientific principles and concepts to potential technologies, materials, processes and products.
- Plans and executes research to prove feasibility of concepts.
- In partnership with the digital marketing analyst, institute frameworks across project and campaign lifecycles, including measurement plans, insight discovery, and performance reporting.
- Maintains substantial knowledge of state-of-the-art principles and theories and contributes to scientific literature and conferences.
- Participates in intellectual property evaluations and development of patent applications.
- Consults and interacts with outside and inside experts.
- Support product and market program opportunity assessments, situational analyses, trend identification, market sizing, and industry landscape research
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related discipline
- 5 + years of professional experience OR 7+ years of professional experience in marketing analytics, forecasting, or another related quantitative field in lieu degree
- Experience building out and presenting insights and recommendations to senior leadership
- Travel up to 20%
Preferred qualifications:
- Advanced education
- Experience with SQL and querying databases (Google BigQuery, Snowflake) to extract required data for analysis. Salesforce (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, CDP)
- Experience with Tableau, Data Studio/Looker or similar platform. SAP, Google Big Query, Amazon Web Services, and Data Lakes.
- Experience with syndicated datasets from IQVIA, Definitive Health Care, Market Access Data (e.g. patient longitudinal data, claims data, sales and demand data, etc.) area plus.
