What you’ll be doing
The Senior Consultant, Digital Data Strategy is responsible for owning & leading projects that impact the business through in-depth research analysis, interpretation, and insights derived from complex digital business information. The role applies data subject matter expertise to consult with the business on strategic growth and competitive benchmarking, leading the development to deliver high quality executive-level read-outs and summaries while ensuring compliance with CIBC requirements standards, work practices, processes, security standards and policies. The Senior Consultant, Digital Data Strategy uses independent judgement to provide guidance to internal & external stakeholder teams, applying a comprehensive, conceptual and practical understanding of the area of specialization to a wide range of business and technical situations while analyzing digital business performance.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote. How you’ll succeed

Roadmap and Strategy: Build & maintain segments of the Data Strategy roadmap and vision for the Digital Analytics & Integration team. Proactively identify new opportunities that will solve data challenges and business problems, and provide recommendations to leadership. Prioritize capabilities and projects for delivery, provide updates, and secure funding.

Market and Competitive Benchmarking Assessments – Proactively scan the market to identify and assess new and emerging industry trends, customer needs, digital capabilities and the competitive landscape, including CIBC’s standing.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: – Work closely with peers across Digital banking and other stakeholders within the bank in both business and technical functions to provide competitive intelligence and functional insights for strategic projects, ensure alignment with our bank’s strategic objectives, planning and presentations. This role acts as a bridge between different teams, facilitating high communication and collaboration and involves a high degree of stakeholder management.

Leading and Mentoring – Support end-to-end deliverables as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology, data and business professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Organization – Oversee requests from various stakeholders and thoughtfully create and/or edit a wide variety of presentation and communication materials (e.g. key messages, communication plans, tactical deliverables, presentations etc.)

Communication – Superior interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to convey or present factual and conceptual information on issues which require detailed explanation and interpretation. Ability to prepare materials and summaries tailored to executive leadership is a critical skill.

Business Casing: Support the development of business cases.
Who you are
-
You have a degree/diploma in Business, Analytics, and/or a related field, and you’ve spent at least 5 years in a strategic role leading projects and producing high-quality deliverables. Master’s degree (MBA, MSc., etc. ) is an asset. Experience working with Data and Analytics tools and processes is also an asset.
