Introduction to Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Data Analyst to join our GBS Analytics team. This role is pivotal in leveraging data to provide actionable insights, support decision-making processes, and drive business growth. You will be designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive data models and analytical solutions to empower stakeholders with valuable insights. Accountabilities:
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications. You will design and develop logical and physical OLAP data models (Power BI Data Sets) to support our analytics platform, adhering to dimensional modelling standard methodologies. You will also implement physical data models in Power BI, including defining relationships between tables, setting data types, and handling data integrity constraints. Utilizing Power BI to create interactive reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and support business decisions is also a key part of this role. 

Essential Skills/Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
– Demonstrated ability in data analysis, with a strong focus on OLAP data model design and implementation.
– Proven experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst.
– Proficiency in Power BI Data Modelling, including DAX, Power Query, and data visualisation techniques.
– Solid grasp of database management systems, ETL processes, and SQL.
– Experience with data warehousing and data modelling best practices.
– Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
– Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
– Demonstrated expertise in optimising data models and queries for enhanced performance and scalability, with a focus on promoting reusability and efficiency.
– Experience in data governance and compliance.
– Understanding of cloud technologies and data warehousing concepts.

Desirable Skills/Experience:
– Experience with Power BI.
– Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
– Familiarity with advanced analytics concepts, including forecasting, clustering, and integration with machine learning models.
